the end

A bitter sweet end to the CIFF, so many films so little time!
Just when the festival becomes your norm it ends!
What do you do after, nothing for a few days is the Diva way...
How can you when for days you picked your outfit,
mingled with film buffs and traveled around the world.

Patrick your the best!!!
This is what we did in the theater, you?

what happend at hospitality stays in hospitality

Clint we saw #30 with you, a film we will never forget,
what did we see?
oh yeah czech republic...Hana & Emil...1930's...haunting period drama
how can we go on...

we opened...we closed
can't believe we have to wait
a whole year for the next!

the end is here

A day away from the festival took it's toll on me,
i miss films and my film friends.
I must say the trunk show at Erie Island Coffee Co. was a big success!
So today i had to go "Bananas!" and got a banana, thanks.

Forgot to mention that i finally ran into
Rob "trailer actor" Gibb the other night!

It was dinner and a movie for Diva D, Mike and their 19 friends!
Dinner at tower 230 and a viewing of their
sponsored film "Headhunter"  great pick by the way!
I wonder what Penny thought of her sponsored film
"The Last Days of Emma Blank"???
we will find out tomorrow...

The day we all try not to think about:
the last day of the film festival is here and
the only way to do it is with a full day,
starting at 9:30 am.
A diva has to do what a diva has to do!

I go to bed charging the camera
and laying out the last film festival outfit,
what will Diva D wear to closing night?

Thursday, March 25, 2010

and on the 8th day!

I end the day with 22 films, a photo and blog shout out in the daily,
and a personal introduction to Ray "Boom-Boom" Mancini!
Only at the CIFF can this happen to a DD of Film!!!

feel free to leave us comments
better yet try to find us at the festival
you know what we look like

Hipsters

Need I say more look at our Diva D...
not only did she look the part
she rocked in her seat the whole movie!

A night of fun, i told you we were going to party!
Nighttown and the Cedar Lee...
Hipters moved onto my top three list for so many reasons; the sounds, sites and unbeleavable costume design.
Diva D wants every outfit Polly wore!!!

Time goes by so fast we only have
4 more days and many movies to see, off i go, enjoy your day.

Don't forget to stop by Erie Island Coffe Co. tomorrow!

day 7

A bit dazzled from back to back films, late night departures and early morning arrivals I am taking this morning to get ready for the "Jewels and Java" trunk show on Friday.  That is the only day I am challenged to see films, I guess I can make the last two rounds and with all that great java I will be drinking at Erie Island Coffee I should stay awake!

Tuesday, 3-23, day one for Corrine but she comes with a list of her own!  Anytime we can pull them away from their job
we feature the hard working staff of the CIFF,
thanks Richard Maxwell, for the photo stop!

The Divas are also preparing for the Cedar Lee showing of "Hipsers" tonight,  time to did out that favorite 1950's outfit.  Diva D has one ready and waiting!  This night is more than just the film the pre-film reception is at Nighttown from 5-6:45 and will continue at Nighttowm after the film at 9:30 for jazz and special menu pricing.  Be there or be square, photos in the morning, daddy O!

a day in the life

Honestly were are not professionals, we just know what we like,
and a day at the film festival ranks at the top of our list!
Diva D studies the program reviewing plots, mapping the days and planning her wardrobe.  Diva C looks at her availability picks up a program guide and most of the time
follows, diva d, diva p and her pals around.

Today started (exhausted from the first 3 days) by staying under the covers as the first round of films began and doing a load of laundry while eating a real home-cooked breakfast.  The plan...catch the 11:50 showing of The Girl, the reality...diva d driving the west and diva c from the east we didn't make it.
Of course our friend Paul (the producer) told us it was one of his favorites so far, that means Tuesday morning 9:20 here we come!

Plan B, a round of table tennis, yes our new sport,
great workout by the way followed by the viewing of
Turtle: The Incredible Journey.
Now if that film doesn't increase your endurance for survival nothing will.
Look out next 7 days here we come!

Wait, not done with this day yet, a quick stop at Mortons, and back to the films.  To our friends so sorry for not giving advance notice on happy hours, there are too many fabulous films and not enough time in the day to plan a whole hour away. So after a laugh in France, a dance in India and a sip of milk in China I sit here not able to sleep from all the visions
in my head but I must end now because tomorrow is another day.

In just 4 days we are happy to say we have made new film friends,
Beverly you are out there somewhere!  To Lara Klaber, thanks for the link,
you are the real professional, we are so happy to be part of this festival!

So all of you, just you wait, there will be more photos, a top ten list of what not to do during the film festival and yes we will list the parties!

Don't Miss Undefeated

A film produced by our very own Paul Cusato!  Catch Undefeated on Monday, March 22 at 4:45 during the Independent Shorts program 6.  The Diva's will be there so should you!

Day 3, Validate the Validator

Clearly it takes a great team of people to pull off a highly successful event, kudos goes to the staff of the 34th annual CIFF!
But a big round of applause goes to Tim Smith,
did someone assign him this location or did he choose to be the first one to guide the masses?
I ask because he is perfect!
I look forward to seeing him and more than that I have seen him in action and I think everyone he talks to begins to feel the same way I do. Thanks Tim job well done! Now go back to work.

Saturday, March 13, 2010 waiting for the film festival to begin

Here we are Diva C & Diva D stopping by

Tower City to pick up the 34th Cleveland

International Film Festival program guide.

More importantly we began to discuss

our film festival wardrobe, style and comfort a must do!
